Below is a list of currently open positions.
Project/Technical Manager
We are looking for someone with strong working knowledge of project and/or technical management to join our growing company as a Project Manager. This full-time position will report to the Business Lead (CEO) and Senior Project Manager, and will work extremely closely with our entire development team.
Responsibilities will include:
- monitor and report daily on project statuses and estimates as well as employee time tracking and performance
- allocate resources in collaboration with PM staff to ensure a smooth workflow
- act as first line of communication with clients
- maintain client relationships
- monitor and facilitate Sr. Developer communication and help to prioritize client responses
- take part in daily “stand-up meetings”, including keeping good notes
- keep track of RFPs we receive, proposals we are working on, and responses from potential clients
- assist with sales and marketing, including writing proposals, preparing for (and eventually leading) meetings with potential clients, and doing research (for example investigating markets that Drupal has not penetrated yet)
- assist with client billing and relations
- help with financial planning and sales projections
- help craft and execute our Social Marketing, Social Networking, and SEO strategies
- help organize company events
The ideal candidate should be:
- familiar with agile/scrum development, but open to maintaining a flexible project development method
- eager to learn more about Open Source Software and technology trends, and to contribute to the Open Source communities that Zivtech is a member of.
- hard working and self motivated (i.e. a "go-getter")
- very quick to pick up new systems without needing to be trained more than once
- VERY well organized
- smart, nice, outgoing, and easy to work with
- good with computers and technology in general
The ideal candidate must have:
- a Bachelors Degree
- real life experience with project management
- lots of experience with a variety of web platforms (google apps, facebook, youtube, feed readers, twitter, etc.)
- an inquisitive and open mind
Items that are a big plus:
- experience with Web Development, especially LAMP-driven CMS' like Drupal
- experience with Agile/Scrum development
- mastery of Microsoft Excel
- experience with event organizing
- experience with client relations
- interest in progressive politics, transformative technology, and/or robots
