Jones grew up in the middle of farm country in New York. He graduated from SUNY Oneonta with a B.S. in Mathematics and a B.S. in Philosophy. Having always been interested in working with computers, he joined the Zivtech team in 2014, and writes technical documentation.
In technical writing, Jones enjoys the challenge of taking large amounts of information and streamlining it into digestible and easily searchable instructions. Through this, he has developed a passion for bullet lists and well-organized tables.
Jones learned to program on an Apple IIe and codes JavaScript projects on the side. He's interested in video games as an interactive art form. Jones was also invited back to SUNY Oneonta to present a lecture on Egyptian mathematics.
