Jason Moore

Jason has been working with computers professionally since 1999 when he started as a Windows Systems Administrator. Since the dot-com bubble burst, Jason moved on from Windows IT and started working on websites. He got his first taste of Drupal in Drupal 5 supporting 3 Drupal websites for his employer. In 2009, Jason left that position to build and support Drupal websites full-time as a freelance Drupal developer. He has been building and maintaining Drupal websites ever since.

How did your experience lead you to a career in tech?

I originally went to school to be a Systems Administrator, and I have naturally gravitated back to being a Systems Engineer at Zivtech.

The best professional advice I can give is:

Never be afraid to ask questions.

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to be a math teacher, but I ended up in computers instead. That's why I enjoy doing trainings for Zivtech - it allows me to pass my skills on to others.

What are you happiest doing outside of work?

Playing with my son and teaching him how life works.

Do you have a personal motto?

Apathy is not an option.
