Jessica graduated from Temple University with a degree in Architecture, but her affinity for computer-aided design led her to a career in graphic design, creating print advertisements for The Yellowbook and The Philadelphia Inquirer. She expanded her technology focus to the internet while dabbling in web design, but found her calling when working as a quality assurance and documentation specialist for a healthcare e-commerce company.
What’s the best part about working on a small team?
I'm able to develop meaningful professional relationships with my coworkers. I'm also exposed to so much because everyone at Zivtech wears multiple hats.
The best professional advice I've been given is:
Don't take it personally!
As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a beautician because I loved brushing and braiding my cousin Jenny's super long hair. I was also pretty proud that I knew what the word beautician meant as a child.
What are you happiest doing outside of work?
I love going to Longwood Gardens. It's such a special place and I feel so lucky to live (relatively) close. My favorite spots in the gardens include The Grotto, the waterlily/lily pad garden, and the shallow water room in the conservatory.
What GIF sums up your personality?
I like to laugh. And I'm not afraid to be sad.
What's the coolest place you've traveled?
Tokyo, and Bob's Crystal Cave in the Californa desert.
What are 2 things you can't live without?
My slippers and blowdryer.
